TRUE RELIGION JEANS – DON’T GET FOOLED BY CHEAP FAKES!

• Label patch: For the label patch on the back the same rules as above may be applied: symmetry, neat and regular stitching and quality of the label’s material! Depending on the style/cut/gender there are different patches (leather, textile, with letter writing, the Buddha or the horseshoe). The Buddha is always neat and features distinct details. The stitching around will always have an even distance to the patches’ border and the logo picture within the patch:

       

FAKE label patches almost always look too „perfect“, too smooth and too bright in colour! They even feel “fake”, a bit artificial like plastic indeed and they are often not made of genuine leather or fine cotton quality.

• Horseshoe: The signature logo of True Religion – the horseshoe – is featured on every style either as signature stitching or print on the back pockets. Fakes often reveal themselves through the horseshoe detail as fakers have the hardest time coping with the correct arrangement and shape of the horseshoe and the wings. 

The authentic stitching is always symmetrical and evenly applied on the back pocket with a round swing in the middle and also slightly rounded wings to the right and left:
     

Recent authentic styles feature a new shape of the horseshoe: Where the wings and the horseshoe meet, the stitching form a little triangle made of three unevenly long angles to it:
   

FAKE horseshoes mostly have very straight wings without the characteristic „swing“ to them and therefore the triangle will look quite symmetrical and with even angles!

Horseshoe-Rule: Authentic True Religion horseshoe stitching will always feature: A round shape and the swung wings, neat stitching and – very important – they are arranged on the pocket with an even distance to the inner pocket seams!

• Often faked styles: Bobby Big T, Bobby Heritage Super T, Billy Big T, Johnny Big T, Rainbow-Series, Stevie, Billy Stretch, Billy Super T, Joey Heritage Super T, Ava Heritage Select Big T. WATCH OUT: Even the latest styles are already circulating as fakes on this platform!
